Sure if Rare was giving us huge choices that supposedly changed content updates quite frequently then yeah there's no way that would be legit.īut here, our choice is extremely simple, it's either we have an outpost or we don't. Though seeing golden sands rebuilt somewhere could have been neat the overall design of this and lack of players being able to see true numbers will turn a lot of people off from even working on There's quite the difference between games that do it all the time and a game that's doing it for the first time after 4 years. Which was my initial plan after completing the event myself as my ledgers are good for the month, i have been renown 100 since the 1st month so incentive to play is at an all time low at this point for me. I am more on the side of just not playing till next season instead. Meaning trying to sway the scales on either side by putting in a long grind seems meaningless. I was tempted to grind out some stuff to see how my actions impacted the progress but as there is no visible metric the players can actually see and the tracker for this event is a fabrication. So the losing side could be down at 10% for all we know but still show as 45%.

This morning the bar was update to display as a 45% merrick, 50%, 45% reaper.

So even if merrik was losing at 49% it would show him at 30%. Thanks to reddit we know that this isnt the case and that there were basically 3 states 30% merrick losing, 50% tie, 30% reaper losing. I think most people like myself assumed the progress bar on the website was updated in real time as the claim was in game the progress of the island would change in real time.
